Japanese Integrated Natural Medicine (Amatsu ryoho - amatsu medicine, devine ryoho / medicine) utilises a unique diagnostic procedure and assessment protocol and then 'our' treatments are based on this intricate and holistic diagnosis.....

Differential Diagnosis

"our diagnosis is the basis for our integrated treatment approach"

We have written this page to help our patients understand how our diagnostic 'system' works, whilst also containing technical knowledge and experince, which other practitioners can use to help others. We share - to help others - not for fame or fortune!

In order to help you understand our differential diagnositic procedures, we have included three examples of 'live' patients.

1: Physical Injury Presentation

"Live case" A person ("J") presents with lower back pain.

Our assessment:

Begins with enquiring where the pain, area of discomfort, altered mobility and reason for seeking 'help' is? Whilst also enquiring into the persons general health and mobility to build a bigger picture of the person.

Local assessment includes the 'checking' of posture and mobility, using standard ortheapedic motion tests - for example the standing flexion test, leg length assesment, "gait" (Walking ability) bending, twisting, using individual muscles, etc...

"J" presents with lower back pain and has 'altered' results in these standard tests.

(There are many causes for back pain which need to be ruled out!)
